A completely unique Victorian jabot pin!

The pin is designed as an acorn, with a large natural pearl as the nut, and the acorn cup made out of silver encrusted with diamonds.

The tiny rose cut diamonds twinkle perfectly over the front of the acorn and its stem.

The jabot end is a gilt arrow fletching, which is finely chased like a feather.

The jabot cap clicks on securely to protect the sharp end of the pin when worn, and is attached with a simple pewter belcher chain.

Sold with the original box from ‘The Alex Clark Co Ltd’

The company was established in London 1891.

It was a silversmiths and silverware manufacturer making a range of silverplated cutlery, silver jewellery, reproduction historical silver pieces and fitted dressing cases.

Acorns were particularly popular during the mid to late Victorian era.

They symbolised; Fertility, growth and strength.

‘From the tiny acorn, a mighty oak tree can grow.’

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.

JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
