A supersized, supercool Victorian beetle pendant / brooch.

The perfectly preserved chunky beetle has a fabulous natural bright green luminescent shell.

The beetle is in a 9ct gold frame which is designed with legs and antennas.

The eyes are set with faceted pink rubies, and the wonderful fine wire work on the beetles back represents the wings.

The reverse; which has the original brooch pin, shows the bright green tummy of the bug which is also in fabulous condition.

A large gold jump ring has been added to the antenna so the beetle can be worn as a pendant.

The Victorians were fascinated by bugs and exotic animals that were being discovered during this time.

They were used to adorn outfits, and to bring the Victorians closer to nature.

I absolutely love how weird and wonderful this guy is!!!

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.

All The Old Cut chains and necklaces have the total length detailed in the description.
The measurement will be in cm and inches.
We recommend you place a tape around your neck to see where the chain will sit.

JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
