A substantial Victorian banded Agate necklace with a gorgeous snake drop.

Circa 1860, the large domed banded Agates are set in a gilt metal closed back setting.

Even though the settings are in metal, the quality of work, and attention to detail is similar to pieces made in gold! 

This central drop is a large oval Agate, with a chunky snake coiled around it.

The necklace has two extra hooks on the reverse side so you could add additional pendants if you wanted.

Fastens with the original hook and eye fastening.

This pieces looks so good worn! Perfect to finish off an outfit with a statement.

Bracelets & Bangles:

How your bracelet fits is a personal preference.
To check your preferred size, wrap a tape measure loosely around your wrist to the tightness you would like your bracelet to fit.
From the end of the tape measure to the point where it crosses the tape is your desired bracelet length.
Please compare this to the measurements specified on each of our bracelet product pages.
Note, some bracelets are adjustable – this will be mentioned in the description.
Note, if a bangle does not have an opening, you must select one that will pass over your fist.
 
 

Necklaces

All The Old Cut chains and necklaces have the total length detailed in the description.
The measurement will be in cm and inches.
We recommend you place a tape around your neck to see where the chain will sit.

JEWELLERY CARE

Antique Jewellery should be taken care of during wear.

Cleaning and repairs should be carried out by an antique jewellery specialist.

We recommend removing pieces of jewellery before washing hands or showering, as water can damage the antique settings.

Some pieces are not recommended for everyday wear

The Old Cut guarantees the piece up until the new customer receives the item.

Any stones that are lost or damaged during wear are not covered by The Old Cut. These will be charged for replacement, we can of course help find a suitable jeweller to support repairs.
